Attorney Steven T. Chesebro

Steven Chesebro received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Legal Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received his law degree from Marquette University Law School. Upon admission to the Wisconsin State Bar, Mr. Chesebro moved to Janesville to be near family and to help the residents of Rock County. He joined the Consigny Law Firm, S.C. in January of 2013 as a general practice attorney.

Mr. Chesebro represents clients in Business Law, Commercial Disputes, Civil Litigation, Criminal Defense, Estate Planning, Forfeiture Defense, Civil Litigation, Guardianships, Injunctions, Real Estate Transactions, and Probate. Steven also represents Landlords in connection with eviction actions, drafting leases, and general compliance questions. Creditors in foreclosure, garnishment or other debt collection needs.

Mr. Chesebro is a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association and licensed to practice in Wisconsin State Courts and the Western District of Wisconsin. He is a past president and current board member of the Rock County Bar Association.

Mr. Chesebro believes that as your representative it is his duty to assist you in achieving your goals. He believes this means both advising you on the available paths, as well as working hard for you once a path has been determined. Mr. Chesebro also enjoys being involved in the local community. For this reason, he is also involved in Forward Janesville, by serving on its Government Relations Board and attending several of their events. Mr. Chesebro also serves on the board of directors for Boys & Girls Club of Janesville, Inc., the Executive Committee for Legal Action of Wisconsin, and the board of directors for Family Promise of Greater Beloit, Inc.

Mr. Chesebro lives in the City of Beloit with his wife, Liz. During Mr. Chesebro’s free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family and taking his dogs, Poe, Zoe and River to the Park.
