Attorney Profiles: Robert H. Consigny
Since
his admission to the Wisconsin Bar in 1955, Mr. Consigny has
established a general law practice with clients throughout Wisconsin.
Robert Consigny received a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from
the University of Wisconsin in 1952, and his law degree from the
University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1955. Following his discharge from
the U.S. Army in 1957, he joined the Janesville law firm which has
evolved into the present day firm of Consigny, Andrews, Hemming &
Grant, S.C.
Mr. Consigny has served on the Rock County Board of Supervisors, the
Janesville Planning Commission, and the Janesville Community
Development Authority. He also has served as President and Director of
the Janesville YMCA, as Vice President of First Lutheran Church, and is
currently President and Director of the First Lutheran Church
Foundation and First Senior Housing. He is a member of the Board of
Directors of Mercy Hospital.
Mr. Consigny is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin. He is also a
member of the Rock County Bar Association where he has served as
President. He has been a member of the Board of Governors of the State
Bar of Wisconsin, and a Director of the Real Property, Probate and
Trust, and Taxation Sections of the State Bar of Wisconsin. He was a
member of the committee that revised the Wisconsin real estate
conveyancing statutes which resulted in the adoption of Chapter 706 of
the Wisconsin Statutes. He has also been a member of the Federal Bar
Association and the American College of Trust and Estate Council.
Recently, he was elected to the Fellows of the Wisconsin Law Foundation.
He is a member of the Janesville Rotary Club and Janesville Country
Club. He is married and has four children and seven grandchildren. He
enjoys traveling, canoeing, and attending Wisconsin football and hockey
games.
